IBU-160i
Intelligent Time Code Distribution Amplifier
Note: EOL product, please reach out to our sales team for a replacement offering.
The IBU-160i is a general-purpose frequency distribution amplifier designed for use with Brandywine high precision time sources, contained in a compact 1U rack-mount chassis
The IBU accepts two sets of inputs, comprising the reference input (100 Hz – 100 KHz) and status from the source. The IBU provides automatic changeover should one of the on-line source inputs fail. Manual source select override is available on the front panel, or through the Ethernet interface.
A variety of status indicators are located on the front panel for instant visual feedback, together with manual controls for source selection.
A 10/100 base T Ethernet interface provides full control over the functionality of the system, including reference selection and output amplitude (on a per channel basis).
User control of the unit is via a built-in Web Browser with user-friendly graphical interface, or via SNMP for system applications.
Applications for the IBU-160i include test ranges, satellite control centers, shipboard time distribution, airports, rail terminals, and any system requiring highly reliable time code distribution.
Timespy
Precise Time Measurement Instrument
The TimeSpy precisely measures the time accuracy of a wide range of inputs (such as: NTP, IRIG B, 1PPS, and ASCII) against an internal precision GPS-controlled oscillator, displayed on the large, full color windows-based touch screen. The TimeSpy can precisely measure the time error at the point of use for systems where time is distributed over large distances. The TimeSpy can also measure free-running clocks and timing systems which are synchronized from untraceable sources, such as television and radio broadcasts, electrical power lines and the internet.
PMC SyncClock32
This product is EOL
This product is EOL due to obsolescence components. An alternative TURBO version is available. Please contact info@brandywinecomm.com for help validating existing and/or new applications. An updated data sheet is available under the downloads tab below.
Single CMC size PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC), 32-bit interface
Brandywine Communication’s model PMC-SyncClock32 is a compact PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) that precisely synchronizes the time on VME cards or provide accurate GPS synchronized time to the host motherboard. The 32-bit interface provides time from microseconds through years. The syncclock acts as a time code reader and/or time code generator that is synchronized to an external source of time, such as IRIG A, IRIG B, 1PPS, NASA36 or Have Quick Time Code. Time can also be obtained from an optional on-board GPS receiver.
Time synchronization can be achieved by simply reading the time registers, using the SYNCCLOCK card to generate periodic interrupts, or latch the time of an external event.
PC104-Plus SyncClock32
Advanced PC-104 timing board that conforms to the PCI/104Plus 2.0
The PC/104Plus SG from Brandywine Communications provides precision time with zero latency to the host computer over the PCI bus. An on-board microprocessor automatically synchronizes the clock to reference signal inputs. The reference signal inputs can be 1 PPS, IRIG or NASA time codes and optionally, GPS or HaveQuick. The clock can free run and be set by commands from the host over the PCI bus.
